According to Dave Meltzer, WWE is plotting a feud between new WWE Champion Brock Lesnar and Bobby Lashley.
This is the idea, according to Meltzer, and the reason the Day 1 five-way title contest was constructed the way it did after Lesnar was inserted to the bout after his scheduled Universal Title match with Roman Reigns was cancelled due to his positive COVID-19 test.
Lashley had Lesnar in the Hurt Lock, but Big E had to intervene. This will be their first encounter as singles. A Lesnar vs. Reigns match is still in the works.
