“WWE‘s 50 Greatest Tag Teams” is one of the most popular shows on Peacock and the WWE Network, and the fifth and last episode just aired. It was hosted by Tyler Breeze and Fandango, who were recently announced as part of WWE’s 14 released Superstars.
Aside from WWE tag teams, WCW, NWA, and ECW teams such as The Outsiders, The Freebirds, The Rock ‘n’ Roll Express, The Midnight Express, and Sting and Lex Luger were discussed on the show. The Bella Twins, Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax, Bayley and Sasha Banks, NXT Women’s Champion Raquel Gonzales and Dakota Kai, WWE NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions The Way’s Candice LeRae and Indi Hartwell, and WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Natalya and Tamina Snuka were among the women’s tag teams mentioned.
The New Day was ranked #1, The Hardy Boyz came in second, The Hart Foundation came in third, Edge and Christian came in fourth, and The Dudleys came in fifth in the WWE’s list of the top 50 greatest tag teams. The absence of NXT Tag Team Champions MSK, SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Mysterios, and RAW Tag Team Champions AJ Styles and Omos from the top 50 list is noteworthy.
