Stone Cold Steve Austin Returning For A Match At WrestleMania 38 For the First Time in Over Two Decades?

WWE Stone Cold Steve Austin

Steve Austin, a WWE Hall of Famer, is allegedly being considered for a possible comeback to the ring at WrestleMania 38.

According to a fresh report from Fightful Select, WWE has made a major offer to Austin for a match at WrestleMania 38. There’s no news on whether Austin is interested in wrestling for the first time in over two decades, but WWE is hopeful he’ll return on The Grandest Stage of Them All in his home state.

According to WWE sources, most people expect Austin to have some sort of physical role at WrestleMania, and some even feel he will wrestle a match. WWE wanted Austin to appear for some sort of role at WrestleMania in Texas a few months ago, but now they want him to come out of retirement.

There’s no indication on who Austin would face at WrestleMania, or if any serious progress has been made. Kevin Owens attacked the people of Texas during a promo on tonight’s RAW, saying he’s grateful he won’t have to wrestle a match at WrestleMania.

After tonight’s RAW promo, Owens, who uses the Stone Cold Stunner, stoked social media rumours about a WrestleMania angle with Austin.

Austin hasn’t competed since losing to The Rock at WrestleMania 19 in 2003, although he’s made a few cameos since then. Due to a major neck injury and several knee problems, he was forced to retire from ring competition.
