Drew McIntyre was one of eight men competing in the Men’s Money in the Bank 2021 Ladder Match at last Sunday night’s Money in the Bank PPV, but he was dragged to the back by Jinder Mahal, Veer, and Shanky, attempting to deny him the chance to become Mr. Money in the Bank and challenge for either the WWE Title or the WWE Universal Title.
Last night on RAW, Jinder Mahal, Veer, and Shanky came to the ring to celebrate Jinder’s 35th birthday and gloat about what they did to McIntyre during the Money in the Bank Ladder Match on Sunday. McIntyre then interrupted the session by bringing a steel chair with him and attacking Jinder, Veer, and Shanky with the steel chair, then fully laying out and destroying Shanky while Jinder and Veer watched from the ramp.
Mick Foley, a WWE Hall of Famer who is renowned as a hardcore icon and a madman for what he does inside the ring when it involves steel chairs, reacted to McIntyre’s actions on Twitter. McIntyre is a big admirer of Foley’s, but hitting someone 20 times with a chair should only be done if he or she has an epic rivalry with someone, and it should not be done at all if he or she does not.
McIntyre also took to Twitter to issue a warning to Jinder Mahal, saying that if he can do what he did to Shanky, what do you think he can do to Jinder? Drew McIntyre is expected to face Jinder Mahal at WWE SummerSlam on August 21, maybe in a stipulation contest or even a multi-man bout.
