SmackDown aired last night without WWE veteran and 16-time World Champion John Cena, but the WWE has announced that Cena will appear next week at the BOK Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. “The Tribal Chief” Roman Reigns and John Cena’s SummerSlam match was made official during last Friday’s SmackDown broadcast, when Cena signed a contract.

On Wednesday night’s episode of SmackDown Live, Finn Balor appeared to express his dissatisfaction with the manner in which John Cena signed his SummerSlam contract. A one-on-one match between Balor and Cena might take place on next week’s event, Balor teased. Finn Balor claimed that he still wants to confront Roman Reigns for the WWE Universal Title, and that he will battle John Cena in order to get there.

Roman Reigns and the SmackDown Tag Team Champions won the main event on last night’s episode of SmackDown. The Usos standing tall over Finn Balor after a viscous triple team attack and fans were chanting for John Cena all throughout the segment.
