John Cena, a WWE superstar and 16-time World Champion, recently spoke with Forbes’ Jeff Conway about a variety of topics, including why he returned to his roots, the WWE, while still on the rise in Hollywood.

John Cena said:

“I didn’t want to leave in the first place, but I was faced with a daring choice: try your hand at another form of entertaining people through movies and television, but if you take that chance, you won’t be able to work for the WWE full-time.” “I could maybe talk or serve as an announcer, but you are not permitted to participate.” Because the insurance firms have tied you to the production, you are unable to have matches. That’s a really reasonable set of terms.”

“For the first time, like Fast and Furious, The Suicide Squad will be released on August 6th. The trailer for Vacation Friends has just released. I’ve been away because I’ve been busy filming movies. This is the first time I’ve ever been given a break. Instead of taking a big breath and letting it all soak in, I wanted to go home and visit my WWE family, so I’m back in the ring!”

After that, John Cena expressed his desire to compete in more WWE matches while continuing to make movies in Hollywood, as he prepares to defend the WWE Universal Championship he is expected to win from Reigns at SummerSlam.

“When it comes to the WWE, never say never. I had a month to myself, like I mentioned, and now I’m back in a ring. So, if I have another month to regain my breath, I’ll probably pay another visit. I’m going to have to defend the title I took from Roman in some way.”
