WWE Hell In A Cell 2022 — Cody Rhodes Injury Update. Might Be Out of Action for 6-12 Months

WWE Hell in a Cell 2022 Cody Rhodes Injury

Cody Rhodes addressed the crowd following his win over Seth Rollins at WWE Hell In a Cell last night, despite having a total tear of his right pectoral tendon.

As previously stated, Rhodes tore his pec muscle while weight training this week, forcing him to withdraw from Saturday’s Street Fight against Rollins at the WWE live event in Champaign, Illinois. He still appeared for an angle with Rollins at the show, but word got around backstage that he was injured. On Sunday afternoon, it was reported that Rhodes would still work the Hell In a Cell match. Rhodes was then wounded, according to WWE, who confirmed it on the Hell In a Cell Kickoff pre-show. During last Monday’s RAW brawl with Rollins, WWE claimed Rhodes suffered a partial tear, but the tendon tore completely off the bone while Rhodes was weight training on Friday.

Rhodes insisted at the time that he would still compete, according to WWE. It should be noted that Rhodes was not hurt in the RAW brawl, but only during weight training, according to the original reports. To build up the tale, they most likely blamed the original partial tear on the RAW brawl. According to the initial reports, Rhodes was well until he got injured while weight training.

Rhodes won a nearly 25-minute Hell In a Cell match against Rollins. When Rhodes removed his ring jacket to expose a horrific, deep bruise on his arm and across his chest, the crowd in Chicago, as well as spectators watching at home, were stunned. This made for some difficult times during the match, but many people thought Rollins and Rhodes delivered in a major way, all things considered. Rhodes dropped to his knees after the match, kissed the match, and murmured “thank you” before rising to his feet. With Rhodes lifting his fist in the air and crying out to the crowd, Hell In a Cell came to an end.

After the show went off the air, Rhodes took the microphone and addressed to the fans inside the Allstate Arena near Chicago.

Despite the injury, Rhodes indicated he would likely explain things more on tonight’s RAW, but he assured everyone that it was his decision to wrestle the match. Earlier on Sunday, it was claimed that Rhodes insisted on wrestling.

“I’m sure I’ll explain things a bit more tomorrow [on RAW], so I’ll keep it short.” With a torn pec, no one could persuade me to come out here. It was all my choice. You’d have to kill me if you tried to keep me away from this ring. “I would have made the same decision ten times out of ten,” Rhodes remarked.

Rhodes continued by thanking the audience for coming to Hell In a Cell.

As of this writing, WWE has not officially announced Rhodes for RAW, but we will keep you updated. There is still no date for Rhodes’ comeback, but a total tear may take him 6-12 months to recover from. We should have more information soon.
