In an interview with Shakiel Mahjouri for ET Canada, Christian Cage discussed Jeff Hardy.
After being sent home following a weekend loop, the former WWE Champion was released earlier this month. During a live event, he appeared lethargic and walked through the crowd. Hardy turned down WWE’s offer to seek counselling and enter rehab.
Hardy will become a free agent on March 9th once a 90-day non-compete clause expires. Hardy’s possible transfer to AEW has sparked a lot of conjecture, and Cage believes it will happen.
“Of course,” says the speaker. There’s a lot of history there, and I’m obviously friends with Matt [Hardy]. It’s been wonderful reuniting with him in AEW. He’s essentially doing the same thing in terms of coaching the younger generation. He also has a great deal of expertise. Jeff is a truly gifted individual. He is a wonderful person. I’m confident that will happen at some point.”
