Backstage Information on WWE Co-CEOs Stephanie McMahon and Nick Khan

Following Vince McMahon‘s retirement, WWE announced that Stephanie McMahon and Nick Khan would take over as co-CEOs, while Paul Levesque was given additional responsibilities, most notably overseeing the company’s talent and creative departments. The plan is for Khan to handle the business side of WWE, while Stephanie will be the company’s public face and will work with Levesque on the wrestling side.

Because there will be arguments between the two and neither will have the authority to enact changes on their own, several people who are familiar with the executive structure in large organisations have questioned whether the co-CEO model will ultimately fail. Although “Nick is a revenue driver,” one WWE employee told the Observer Newsletter that they believe the combination is essential and that if Stephanie sticks to “being a promoter,” with her expertise in media, analytics, and branding, the two will make a “formidable team.”
